Fold a Book

Fold-A-Book allows young students to create and partially illustrate their own phoneme-grapheme mini-books to aid in their spelling and vocabulary learning. Each photocopiable page can be folded into a small booklet. This means students can collect their own ‘library’ of books of the sounds they are learning in class.

The booklets are planned for use with children who are at the stage of making a connection with the written letters of our alphabet and words familiar to them. The words have been carefully chosen – familiar animals and objects, body parts and numbers. Relevant and fun for students just learning letters and their sounds, Fold-A-Book is ideal as extra support to supplement your phonics teaching programme.
