Themen Deutsch 2 - Leaving Cert German

Themen Deutsch 2 is a new German textbook for the Leaving Certificate Higher Level course that takes a theme-based approach, a key requirement of the syllabus.

The book is divided into 20 units, each based around a theme on the Leaving Certificate syllabus.

Each unit begins with vocabulary relevant to the theme and is accompanied by questions to be answered orally.

This is followed by a picture-essay requiring an oral and written response.

Literary and factual texts feature in each unit, which conclude with a letter in the Leaving Certificate format.

Finally, model sentences based on the theme are provided for students to memorise are provided at the end of each unit.

The book Hörthemen covers the same 20 themes as the Themen Deutsch books and is accompanied by CDs.
