UFLI Foundations Manual | Phonics for Primary Teachers Back in Late December

UFLI Foundations Manual is a comprehensive resource that teaches students the foundational skills necessary for proficient reading. It follows a carefully developed scope and sequence, helping students systematically acquire each skill and apply it with confidence and autonomy.

The program is designed for core instruction in the primary grades and can also be used for intervention with struggling students at any grade level.

Developed by the University of Florida Literacy Institute and published by Ventris Learning, UFLI Foundations is a research-based, evidence-based program created by teachers, for teachers, and refined through extensive piloting.

The manual includes:

• Essential background knowledge for teachers
• 148 lesson plans (10 “Getting Ready” lessons, 128 concept lessons, and 10 review lessons)
• Detailed descriptions of each instructional step and how to implement it
• Concept-based spelling assessments for progress monitoring
