The Fiction book is divided into 8 sections (Reading Skills, Authors and Illustrators, Setting, Character, Plots and Events, Genre, Film Versions, and Book Reviewing) each focusing on a feature of reading or fiction.

The Poetry book contains loads of bright ideas and worksheets to support middle to senior school students in their reading, understanding, and enjoyment of poems. It is divided into 5 sections (Poems, Rhythm, Rhyme, Figurative Language, and View Points), each focusing on a feature of poetry.

All the sections in each book are prefaced by teacher notes and contain a wide range of purposeful, engaging and high-interest reading-related activities for students.
